Hello.

My name is Lydia Crook and I’m the freelance paper engineer and artist this website is all about.

I have a great interest in all things creative especially when it comes to paper. I just love it and everything
you can do with it - fold it, bend it, curve it, cut it, rip it, roll it, colour it.... oh and write on it!

On the days I’m being a paper engineer, I mainly work on pop-up book design and development, either for my own company or for the ace paper engineer, Corina Fletcher.

And on the days I’m being an artist, I mainly work on creating ornate paper cuttings - either from designs conjured up in my head or working on commissions. They make great gifts for lots of different occasions such as birthdays, christenings, anniversaries (the 1st wedding anniversary gift is paper by the way) or just a gift to yourself!

I try to slip in the occasional graphic design project when I can along with other work projects such as jewellery box design and the creation of little Scruffys.

So… have a click around my site, hopefully enjoying what you see, and please give me a shout if you see anything you like. It would be great to hear from you.

All the best,

Lydia Crook
